People and possibility come first.
Dewa Trust Foundation aims to relieve financial hardship, distress and suffering among poor people, widows, orphans and other people in Afghanistan.
Our work focuses on four connected areas: accessible education, humanitarian relief, health and hygiene, and food support. Each one responds to a practical barrier that families face day to day.
Our approach
Local, practical and focused.
Education work operates in Kabul and Nangarhar through online and community-based learning models. Each model serves 30 students per class, keeping groups small enough to stay supportive.
Relief programmes respond with essentials: food, shelter, clean water, medical support and hygiene supplies — the things a household needs first.

Our education models are delivered in two provinces, close to the students they serve.
Kabul
Online and community-based classes run alongside one another, giving students more than one route into learning.
Nangarhar
The same two learning models operate here, using local spaces as accessible classrooms where they are needed.

That belief — carried from London to Kabul and Nangarhar — still guides every class we open and every family we reach.

Small classes, familiar places, steady support.
Learning happens in spaces students already know — a home with a screen, or a local room turned into a classroom for the day.
Keeping each class to 30 students means teachers can follow every learner rather than address a crowd.

Step 01
A need is identified
Families and communities in Kabul and Nangarhar tell us where the barrier sits — schooling, food, water or health essentials.
Step 02
A programme responds
The right programme takes it on: online education, community-based education, humanitarian relief, health and hygiene, or the food bank.
Step 03
Delivery close to home
Classes run in homes and local spaces; relief is distributed directly to the households that need it.
Step 04
The work continues
Support keeps classes running and shelves stocked, so provision does not stop after a single distribution.
